New Year's Eve
Perhaps I should update the blog more than every big holiday? It’s been forever since I last posted. I’d love to make this a part of my life second semester. There, I made a new year’s resolution! To post on here more. Be safe and I’ll see you in 2010.

Thanksgiving Break
It’s been a while. I just really don’t have Tumblr in my schedule, I guess. Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Hope it is a happy and safe one.

Thursdays
Just about done with classes for the week. Once again my friend and I have our radio show tonight at 10. Listen live at http://www.thesunnyandcshow.com/ Also, keep all those involved with the Fort Hood shootings in your thoughts. It’s terrible that something like that would happen at a U.S. military base.

Tumblr makes an appearance
Tumblr made an appearance in my journalism issues class. Our professor asked if we knew some popular blogging platforms. I don’t think he expected so many responses.

Tribune Co. says goodbye to AP, momentarily
Courtesy of Jeff Jarvis’ tweet, the Tribune Co. is experimenting with AP-less content in their papers. The goal of the week-long experiment is to see if the papers can survive without the AP content. It’s another cost-cutting measure, obviously. At this rate, papers are going to eventually be run by a single person, and they will only have one local story/opinion each day. Wait. ...

One more week...
…and then I will get a break, I think. I’m ridiculously swamped again, and I have not one hint of motivation. Big exam tomorrow (journalism history). Wish me luck!

Sunday Intramurals
Ouch. Muddy conditions leads to many hyper-extended knees and pulled groins. We crushed the first team we played in the opening-round of the flag football playoffs. However, our favor was returned in a 30-something to 13 drubbing by the other team in game two. I’m now officially done with intramurals until next fall, I think.

Weekends and laziness
I’m not sure how people who work get anything done on weekends. I’ve done nothing for the second straight day today. I don’t feel like doing anything. I kind of want to go to bed. How can people work and not drive themselves crazy?

Might be my all-time favorite movie. It’s funny, and it actually exposes flaws in our current educational system.

Another week, another show
Our third show went live tonight, and for the second week in a row we had some very irritating technical issues. I suppose I should come to expect them. Overall though, the show is doing well. My friend and I are going to try to push it as our senior project, but I don’t know how the administration is going to respond.

ReBlog: Wordpress is Dead?
Tumblr and Twitter are great for lifestream style events. But, Wordpress is great as a content management system, something the Tumblr and Twitter simply cannot do. Wordpress is perfect for topic oriented blogs. Tumblr is great for lifestream blogs. To each their own. I still love Wordpress. danieldezago: Ok so that may be overstating it a bit. But seriously. I never use it. The friends that...

Creating thoeries
I’m stuck creating a theory to explain the reaction to invading personal space. How about the, “Why the *#$% is your head on my lap?!?” theory? Laugh if you want, but I had to try it in real life…

Blame the economy
It’s always fun when you can actually use something you learn in a history class. With all the hype surrounding FOXNews, CNN and all of the other news channels and their biases, it was intriguing to me to run across this little gem in my journalism history book: “…because world affairs were increasingly complex and because citizens were becoming increasingly interested in...

All hope is not lost
Sometimes I wonder why I even go to college. I’m a journalism major, and journalism is supposedly “dying.” Well, as Facebook has told me this morning, all hope is not lost. A friend I had in one of my classes last year has gotten a full-time job at the Saginaw News after spending the last several months working for the Bay City Times. Jobs are still out there. You just have to...

Frustrations with computers
Okay. Before I go on, I will admit it’s my own fault for trying to be different. I love computers. They are right behind sports and even ahead of journalism (my major) in my book. Naturally, I have the need to tinker. It used to be that tinkering simply meant adding RAM or swapping a CD drive. Of course, now tinkering means diving head first into alternative operating systems. For...

Life as it stands now
I can’t sleep. What’s new? Of course, I remedy my sleeping problems by staying up and creating personal blogs. Fun stuff if you ask me. Welcome to my first Tumblr blog. Wow. This is almost TOO simple for me. I’m used to Wordpress and Joomla, and this is all so… bland. I can forsee myself wasting time creating a new template now. Hooray! Just what I need as deadlines...
